PACKAGING TECHNICIAN

Packaging Technician

 

The Packaging Technician’s primary responsibilities include operating the canning line machinery and keg line, quality control throughout each process, preventive maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of packaging areas and machinery, and ensuring safety and operating procedures are followed.  

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Safely and efficiently operating packaging equipment and machinery
  • Communicating with brewing, cellar and warehouse departments to ensure accurate a timely packaging
  • Following company operating procedures and performing regular QA/QC checks
  • Following company safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organized packaging line and workspace throughout the day
  • Performing basic maintenance and repair of packaging equipment
  • Developing a strong understanding of the packaging process and equipment 
  • Assisting in other production and or warehouse duties as needed

 

This is a physically demanding position requiring the candidate to stand, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and use hands for intricate tasks. The Packaging Technician must be able to navigate small, awkward, and close quarters. The ability to effectively communicate and avoid hazards is imperative. Must be able to stand for 10 hours per and be able to frequently lift 55lbs of general materials to shoulder-height.

Schedule:

The Packaging Technician works four, 10-hour days each week, and will be assigned to our morning or afternoon shifts. Early morning, evening and weekend shifts are required. Schedule will be assigned on a bi-weekly basis. 

Hourly Rate:

$17 hour starting rate. This is a full time, non-exempt hourly position.

For this position Lone Pine pays for 60% of the cost of medical insurance (HMO and PPO plans available in the silver and gold plan categories), 100% of the cost of dental and vision plans, and provides life insurance, short term disability and long term disability coverage at no cost. LINE COOKS & CHEFS

We are excited to announce the opening of our Beer Garden & Food Program in Old Orchard Beach. Opening mid-April, we’re looking to bring on a team of experienced cooks and chefs to execute our food program.

Line Cooks and Chefs will work in a fast paced, high volume and team oriented environment. Counter service restaurant. A menu heavily focused on seafood and other elevated comfort foods. Craft beer will be a main focus and may be paired with our menu.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accurately measure foods and adjust recipes for food preparation process
  • Complete daily and monthly inventory of all food & beverage items rotating stock
  • Monitor food quality to ensure it stays within company standards
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary environment within the kitchen, walk-in coolers
  • Give feedback to management team on items that need to be restocked
  • Provide Manager with feedback, ideas and suggestions on a timely basis
  • Line Cook responsible for full set up and preparation of hot and cold food items for restaurants
  • Organization and sanitation of main kitchen including walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Insure that station or relevant prep list is set in a timely manner
  • Assists in controlling food costs
  • As required: stock taking, cleaning, opening and closing tasks; and any other duties

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 6 months experience as a Line Cook preferred
  • The ability to communicate in English
  • Minimum 1-3 years cook experience required
  • Ability to work independently part of a team, and the ability to multitask are necessary for this position
  • Must have a current ServSafe certification
  • Must be available for overtime and weekends
  • Works cooperatively with front of house staff to respond to guest needs

 

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and carry 0-100 pounds on a regular basis, throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours in length.
  • The ability to communicate in English
  • Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks

 

Shift:

  • Open 7 days a week. 12-9pm / 10pm on weekends
  • Day shift: 9-4pm
  • Evening shift: 3-close
  • Availability for doubles required

  • Day Shift (Preferred)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)

 

Hourly Rates:

Line Cook: $19 – $21 hour

Head Chef: $25 hour

Sick Time:

Kitchen staff are eligible for sick time (Earned Paid Leave), sick time will accrue at a rate of one hour per 40 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 40 hours. Sick time is paid at your base hourly rate.

WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

Lone Pine Brewing Company is looking for a full time Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse team.

The Warehouse Assistant at Lone Pine supports the day-to-day operations of the warehouse including the safe and efficient shipping, receiving, storage, and rotation of products and goods in the warehouse and throughout various company departments.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, collaboration, and a high standard of quality. The primary responsibilities of the position are to ensure that all outgoing orders are fulfilled correctly and loaded on time and in accordance with packaging standards, that all inventory is received, handled and routed to correct locations within the company, and that the flow of incoming materials and outgoing products is as smooth and safe as possible. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Job Duties + Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Warehouse Manager on packaging, storage, and inventory or raw materials and finished product.
  • Loading and unloading of products, raw materials and various merchandise.
  • Assists in planning, scheduling and executing of upcoming orders and deliveries.
  • Work alongside other warehouse team members to store and ship products.
  • Management and coordination of stock and dry goods movements between warehouse locations with weekly inventory reconciliation.
  • Prepare all packaging logistics necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory for daily operations.
  • Check inventory on all raw materials, chemicals, beer, cooperage, small parts, packaging and paper products.
  • Routinely monitor, update and contribute to all production and packaging calendars.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • This is a physically demanding position requiring the candidate to stand, lift, kneel, climb, and crouch. The ability to effectively communicate and avoid hazards is imperative. Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day and be able to frequently lift 55-100 lbs of general materials to shoulder-height.

Schedule:

  • This is a 40 hour per week position with a fluctuating schedule. Shifts may vary depending on warehouse package volume and staffing needs.

Compensation:

  • Starting at $17.50 per hour.

TASTING ROOM AMBASSADORS

Lone Pine Brewing Company is currently seeking experienced candidates for the role of Tasting Room Ambassador to work in our tasting room locations.

A large part of working in the tasting room is being able to safely serve alcohol while being able to educate customers about the brewing process, beer they are drinking and the company. Schedule:

  • Full Time positions require a minimum of 5 days (30+ hours) per week.
  • Part Time positions require a minimum commitment of 2-4 days (10-25 hours) per week.

 

Compensation:

  • $12 per hour, plus tips.
  • Tasting Room Ambassadors at Lone Pine participate in tip pooling.
  • This is a non-exempt full/part time hourly position.
