We are excited to announce that late last week, Lone Pine Brewing Co. and Sebago Brewing Co. finalized an agreement for the purchase and sale of Sebago Brewing’s complete production facility just outside of Portland. This purchase will allow us to significantly increase the quality and capacity of our core brands, while opening the door to the continued development of our overall product line.

Sebago Brewing Company is currently Maine’s fifth-largest production brewery. Many of you will know Sebago for their brewpub locations throughout Maine. The facility that produces all Sebago beer for keg and can sale (the facility we just purchased) is located outside of Portland in the industrial park of Gorham, Maine. After seeing continued growth year over year, Kai, Tim, Brad and the Sebago team are currently in the process of building out a much larger showpiece and destination facility. Sebago will maintain the use and licensure of the current production system until the first weeks of 2018. Sebago will then continue their storied brewing tradition at their new and expanded 31,000 square-foot location on Rt. 25 in Gorham.

For the time being, we will not be giving tours or serving beer at our Gorham location. Give us a chance to hang our banners and make it home. We plan to remain respectful of Sebago’s space and operations until their transition out, at which time we will begin making decisions regarding public access.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make this project a reality. 20 months ago we began this adventure with meager funds on a large-yet-glorified homebrew system. For four months we lived off of near-nothing and worked around the clock, on our own, to turn a forgotten pink industrial warehouse full of live-wires and foundation holes into a usable production space. It’s been a long road, but life moves fast. We are humbled but not complacent. Expect greater things to come. Thank you to Tim, Kai, and the Sebago crew for their assistance throughout this process. Thank you to our families and friends, who have endured our extended absences along with every high and low. Thank you to our now 240 retail partners, who have accommodated a small self distributor from Southern Maine as we dealt with the challenges and rewards associated with moving every bit of beer throughout this great state ourselves. Finally and most notably, thank you. We are excited by the thought of offering more of the beer we love, while bringing new and exciting products to life. Thank you for enjoying our beer, for continuing to support our little tribe, and for making our small piece of earth in East Bayside feel like home.
