PACKAGING TECHNICIAN

The Packaging Technician’s primary responsibilities include operating the canning line machinery and keg line, quality control throughout each process, preventive maintenance, cleaning and sanitation of packaging areas and machinery, and ensuring safety and operating procedures are followed.

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Safely and efficiently operating packaging equipment and machinery
  • Communicating with brewing, cellar and warehouse departments to ensure accurate a timely packaging
  • Following company operating procedures and performing regular QA/QC checks
  • Following company safety standards
  • Maintaining a clean and organized packaging line and workspace throughout the day
  • Performing basic maintenance and repair of packaging equipment
  • Developing a strong understanding of the packaging process and equipment
  • Assisting in other production and or warehouse duties as needed

This is a physically demanding position requiring the candidate to stand, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and use hands for intricate tasks. The Packaging Technician must be able to navigate small, awkward, and close quarters. The ability to effectively communicate and avoid hazards is imperative. Must be able to stand for 10 hours per and be able to frequently lift 55lbs of general materials to shoulder-height.

Schedule:

The Packaging Technician works four, 10-hour days each week, and will be assigned to our first shift (6am – 4pm), or second shift (10am – 8pm) depending on scheduling needs.

Salary Range:

$33,500-$36,000 depending on experience. This is a full time, non-exempt salaried position.

ACCOUNTANT

Lone Pine Brewing Company is hiring an Accountant to join our growing finance team. We are looking for an individual that has a passion and interest in financial data, and is excited by the opportunity to help maintain and craft our financial processes from start to finish. This is a full-time position located in Gorham, ME. Lone Pine offers remote and hybrid work options and is willing to discuss flexible work hours.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting, 3-5 years of accounting experience, and experience in a related industry. Understanding of manufacturing, cost of goods solds and inventory is critical.

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining company financial information through the maintenance of the general ledger, and ensuring accurate and timely financial entries and reporting. The Accountant will report to the Director of Finance & HR and supervise the company Bookkeeper.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial record keeping for the organization
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Prepare and post monthly general ledger entries
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule and post depreciation
  • Post bi-weekly payroll entries
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
  • Prepare and update company and department budgets and performance
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for owners and financial institutions
  • Daily bookkeeping activities including accounts payable entries in coordination with company bookkeeper
  • Management and oversight of company bookkeeper
  • Prepare and send checks and electronic payments to vendors
  • Prepare and send customer invoices
  • Prepare and file Federal and State Excise Tax Reports
  • Prepare and file Monthly State Sales Tax Reports
  • Work with accounting firm as needed to ensure GAAP compliance and industry accounting standards

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience

TERRITORY MANAGER – SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND

Lone Pine Brewing Company is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate for the position of Territory Manager for Southern New England.

The Territory Manager will manage existing accounts, as well as strategically expand our account base. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset, where self- starting is a must and customer service must be second to none.

Job Tasks and Description of the Territory Manager will include:

  • Calling on a high volume of accounts on a daily basis in the designated market area.
  • Expand the account list strategically to increase both the brand’s exposure and volume of sales.
  • Manage existing accounts on a consistent basis and supply accounts with whatever they may need – Quality assurance checkpoints, POS items, staff training, etc.
  • Setting up promotional events in targeted accounts and executing said events in a creative and high impact manner.
  • Attend and execute beer festivals as needed to increase consumer awareness as to the quality and breadth of our portfolio.
  • Improve conditions of placements for best consumer exposure – ensuring product is placed in optimal position, creating impressive displays, etc.

PRODUCTION BREWER/CELLARPERSON

Lone Pine Brewing Company is looking for a qualified applicant with a minimum of 3-5 years of brewing and cellar experience. Experienced candidates must have excellent attention to detail, meticulous record keeping skills, and a team-first mentality to oversee all aspects of beer production from grain to brite tank.

This hybrid role will gain experience throughout our brewing and cellar operations. Primary duties will be running a 20 bbl brew system, tank cleaning and sanitization, monitoring of beer in process, beer transfers and centrifuge operations, recording keeping and reporting, and ensuring a safe work environment. 

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

  • Brewhouse standard operating procedures
  • Cellar standard operating procedures 
  • Constant cleaning and sanitization.
  • Yeast management, dry hopping / adjunct additions, centrifugation (Alfa Laval Brew 80), carbonation, CIP, cleaning and sanitization, sanitary beer transfer.
  • Documentation:  Accurate documentation of all brewing and cellar practices.  
  • Safety: Maintain a clean, safe work environment.  Safe use chemicals, adherence to Lone Pine’s safety protocols, and proper use of PPE.  
  • Communication:  Clear and timely communication with all co-workers and supervisors.
  • Operation of ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts, after on-site training or certification.
